Command and Control (C2)

Command-and-control (C2) systems are the connective tissue of military operations — the software, data models, and networks that let commanders sense, decide, and direct action across dispersed forces. Modern C2 emphasizes composable kill chains: any sensor connecting to any shooter across services and partners. Reference implementations include Army IBCS for air-and-missile defense, Air Force ABMS for JADC2, Navy Project Overmatch for the maritime domain, and joint efforts via CDAO. Publicly-known C2 suppliers include Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Palantir, Anduril, and Rebellion Defense.
