Golden Dome

Golden Dome is a U.S. Department of Defense initiative focused on strengthening homeland missile defense through an integrated architecture of sensors, interceptors, command-and-control systems, and supporting technologies. The initiative is overseen by the Missile Defense Agency and coordinates capabilities across existing missile defense programs of record including Aegis Ashore, GMD, THAAD, and PAC-3. Public documentation describes capability demonstrations on 12-24 month cycles as the operating model, with public reporting centered on integration and demonstration phases across air, land, sea, and space domains.
