OVERVIEW

JADC2 is the Department of Defense's architecture initiative to connect sensors and shooters across every service, domain, and coalition partner into a single, distributed decision fabric. It is not a single program of record but a family of service-led efforts (Air Force ABMS, Army Project Convergence, Navy Project Overmatch) coordinated under a common data, standards, and network layer. The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office publishes the reference architecture; each service funds and fields the components. Publicly stated goals include composable kill chains, resilient tactical networks, and machine-speed target-to-shooter matching.
