Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) is the mission of collecting, processing, exploiting, and disseminating information about adversaries, threats, and operational environments across air, space, cyber, maritime, and land domains. It combines national-technical assets, U-2 and RC-135 airborne collectors, MQ-9 and MQ-4C unmanned platforms, submarine SIGINT, and proliferated LEO satellite constellations into a fused decision-quality picture. Modern ISR is the connective tissue of joint operations — feeding the kill chain, coalition planning, and policy decisions through the TCPED cycle (Task, Collect, Process, Exploit, Disseminate).
